The first address in a subnetwork.

For example an IP address having 32 addresses (30 devices) like 1.1.1.0 , 1.1.1.1 , 1.1.1.2 ....... the first address is 1.1.1.0 which is the network address.

The last address in the example 1.1.1.31 is the [[Broadcast Address|broadcast address]].
